Meet Cheyenne, our Preschool Room Lead.
Cheyenne joined Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common in 2025, bringing with her almost 10 years of Early Years experience and a real passion for helping children grow in confidence and independence.
She loves seeing children reach those special milestones, whether it’s making a new friend, trying something for the first time or proudly saying, “I can do it!”
Her favourite G.R.A.I.N.S value is Aspiration because she believes every child deserves someone who believes in them before they believe in themselves.
When we asked Cheyenne what children have taught her, her answer was simple:
“To slow down, stay curious and appreciate the little moments.”
And yes… she’s just as much fun outside the classroom too! 💛
We’re so lucky to have Cheyenne as part of our Monkey Puzzle family.

What a wonderful day celebrating our Preschool Class of 2026! 💛
On Thursday, we came together with our children, families and team to celebrate a very special milestone before our preschoolers begin their exciting next adventure at school this September.
There were smiles, laughter, proud moments and plenty of memories made as our little graduates celebrated everything they have achieved during their time at Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common.
As part of the celebrations, our practitioners wanted to share a special message to wish each and every child the very best for the exciting journey ahead. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve accomplished.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for allowing us to be part of your children’s early years journey. We can’t wait to see everything they achieve in the future.

It`s certainly been a warm week!
While the temperatures have been soaring outside, we`ve been lucky to have our fully air-conditioned nursery, helping to keep our children cool, comfortable and happy throughout the day.
Alongside plenty of water breaks, sun cream, shaded outdoor play and quieter indoor activities, we`ve been able to continue enjoying everything nursery life has to offer in a safe and comfortable environment.
At Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common, our children`s wellbeing always comes first, whatever the weather. 💛

Understanding emotions is an important part of growing up.
This week in our Preschool room, the children explored The Colour Monster Goes to School, using the different Colour Monsters to talk about feelings, emotions and how others might be feeling.
Together, the children discussed what each colour represented, shared their own ideas and explored ways they could help a friend who might be feeling sad, worried, angry or nervous.
Activities like this help children develop emotional awareness, communication skills and empathy, supporting them to build positive relationships and understand the feelings of others.
At Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common, we believe these early conversations play an important role in helping children grow in confidence, kindness and respect for those around them.

At Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common, we’ve created an outdoor environment designed to help children grow in confidence, independence and curiosity every single day.
From planting and harvesting in our growing garden, to creating in the mud kitchen, running their own farm shop, getting creative outdoors and challenging themselves in our adventure climbing area, every space has been carefully designed to support learning through play.
Whether children are climbing, balancing, building, digging, planting or imagining, they are developing the skills that support school readiness, resilience, communication and a lifelong love of learning.
