Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common is delighted to announce a new extracurricular activity joining our nursery with our friends at Minijam coming in to share their amazing approach to early education through interactive music and sensory experiences. Join us on December the 1st and 15th and explore the wonderful world of music.
Minijam – Early Years Music Classes
Minijam offers a fun and modern approach to early years education through music. MiniJam is as much about the coffee and chat for parents before and after class as it is about the interactive music and sensory experience for their babies and children.
All of their sessions are led by highly qualified and experienced musical teachers and they have even pooled some of London’s top session musicians to create funky versions of nursery rhymes to jam along to. Minijam has also teamed up with psychologist Dr Gabby Bray DPsych, CPsychol, B.A.(Hons) (Oxon) in order to structure our termly programme to best benefit your little one. You’ll see musical games, sensory interaction and lots of laughter throughout all of our sessions.
Minijam gives children the opportunity to experience music and performing up close, encouraging our children to join in with the fun. Alongside all of the singing and dancing, Minijam is fantastic for developing fine and gross motor skills, social interactivity, language, emotional understanding and so much more.
Our parents enjoy the sessions just as much as our children and are always encouraged to join in and have as much involvement as the children too.
Minijams makes being “child-friendly” the core of what they do. Parents are free to chat, feed and change nappies all while enjoying the fun and interaction of our musical performances.
This is an incredible opportunity for parents and children to have a fantastic time together, introduce their children to the wonderful world of music and instruments and setting their children’s imaginations free through interactive sensory experiences.

On December 1st and 15th, Minijams will be joining Monkey Puzzle Streatham Common for some special extra special Christmas sessions. There will be two sessions each day, one for babies and one for toddlers. You can find more information on the times below.
